Kremlin was an iconic Lisbon nightclub, inaugurated on December 22, 1988, in Escadinhas da Praia, by brothers João and Gonçalo Rocha, of Grupo K.

It was a landmark in Portuguese dance music, famous for its underground concept, electronic music, and its history linked to nightlife.

It opened in 1988, coinciding with the end of the Soviet Union, becoming a symbol of modernity and nightlife in the capital.

It was one of the first clubs in Portugal to focus on electronic music and to have a loyal audience, attracting both regulars and well-known figures.

Known for its unique, underground atmosphere, with a diverse audience ranging from dance music fans to “country bumpkins” drinking champagne.
Located in Escadinhas da Praia (Santos), it occupies a 350 m² space in a former convent, maintaining original features such as pointed arches in stone.

Worldwide Recognition: In the 90s, it was considered the 3rd best nightclub in the world by DJ Mag magazine. It became the birthplace of iconic DJs such as DJ Vibe (Tó Pereira).

Kremlin left a great legacy, being remembered as one of the most important clubs in the history of Portuguese nightlife, fundamental to the development of club culture in Lisbon. (Closed in September 2025).

It began as Nada Temple in Xabregas and quickly made a name for itself in Lisbon’s alternative nightlife and culture.

However, due to its small size, a new venue was opened just 200 meters away, which has since closed due to real estate pressure.

The latest iteration, Naada 3.0, located in Prior Velho, has a more underground vibe and features not only music but also visual arts and NFT exhibitions.

This new location continues to host its legendary after-parties, which typically run from 10:00 PM to midnight.

Synonymous with underground electronic music, Deputamadre Club has gained a loyal following, becoming known as a democratic venue.

Throughout its history, Deputamadre has hosted international icons such as Booka Shade, Boris Brejcha, Derrick Carter, Green Velvet, John Digweed, Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Ellen Allien, Nastia, Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Vitalic, DJ T, Felix Da House Cat, Oxia, The Hacker, Anthony Rother, Marc Houle, Troy Pierce, Magda, Altern 8, Craze, among many others.

The idea from the beginning has always been to educate and respect what has already been and is being done in the Minas Gerais electronic music scene, through renewal, visual identity, and especially through the attitude of people who make Deputamadre a “no-frills club”.

Brazilian DJs like Anderson Noise, Mau Mau, Gui Borato, Aninha, Anna, Eli Iwasa, Renato Cohen, Ace Ventura, Fabio Fusco, Wrecked Machinese, Gustavo Peluso, and Robinho have made and continue to make the club’s history.

“Without Deputa, there wouldn’t be these big parties happening today, because there would hardly be an electronic music scene in Belo Horizonte.

Lelê is a warrior. Deputa is my home, it’s my club in Belo Horizonte,” (DJ Anderson Noise).

At the club that was once ranked 13th best in Brazil, good music always comes first.
